Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a Christian podcaster/Content Creator on a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to young through honest, unfiltered conversation. Through I’m Just A Girl, I create a space where women in their twenties can build a real relationship with Jesus, reclaim their God -given identity. I believe faith and identity are inseparable and the changes when women know who God actually made them to be.

My maternal grandmother. She lost her husband in a civil war in the 1980s, raise 4 children to university alone, and faced health crises that declined her health by retirement. Through all of it, her faith never moved. At 97, God is still the first person she runs to. Watching her shaped my faith, my confidence, and my ability to defy the norms placed on women.

She also encourages me every single day to show up as my most authentic self as a Christian creator and that, to me, is everything.

My superpower is translation: I create a space for the young woman who has been told all her life that she is just a background character, a stepping stone to elevate a man, someone who has to step back and shrink. Through ai’m Just A Girl Podcast, I tell our truth: God has specific plans for girls. I do it in a way that feels less like a sermon and more like a conversation with a friend who refuses to lie to you. With a touch of scriptures.

I started I’m Just a Girl less than a year ago and I have been able to grow my community to about 500 people spanning across different countries including Tanzania, Nigeria, Botswana, Mauritius, Uganda, the USA and UK. It has been amazing to see, meet and experience just how much my content resonates with young women all over world. It is the fuel that keeps the IJG mission going.

As the creative industry in Ghana continues to grow, many new creative niches emerge and therefore female creators need for more platforms like Discover Her for young, new Ghanaian female creators that facilitate more opportunities for networking, synergy and community. As a relatively new creator in the industry, events like Discover Her are a reassurance that I am not alone and that there is space for my creativity in the industry.
